This procedure takes about an hour and a half in the office. Your teeth are cleaned, isolated, and dried. The gel placed is stronger then the gel used for the "at home trays." A "special light" is used to activate the material. After direct light on each tooth is placed, the material is washed off and the procedure is repeated up to two to five times, depending on the sensitivity level. After this procedure is finished, it is pertinent that you REFRAIN FROM SMOKING,EATING,OR DRINKING ANYTHING except water for the next (12) twelve hours because the material is still effective. Drinking or eating anything with "color" in it will turn your teeth "that color."
